TOUR OF SICILY: 20 DAYS TO DISCOVER THE HIDDEN TREASURES OF SICILY

From the 1st to 2nd day

Arrival at the Catania airport and meeting with our guide, who will follow you for the entire duration of your journey. The firsts 2 nights will be in the province of Catania. This city is located at the slopes of Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, and it will opens you the door of Sicily. We begin with a Must, an Etna Jeep Tour to discover the landascapes of sicilian giant. According with the weather condition will be possible reach the top craters. From the 3rd to 6th day

After breakfast departure for the province of Siracusa. The day will be dedicated at the view of the archaeological park and the Sicilian Baroque. Hotel accommodation in Noto, Siracusa area, with dinner and overnight stay for 4 nights.

 

In the following days depending on the weather, you will visit: the Natural Reserve of Vendicari and the Tonnara, the Tonnara di Marzamemi, the mosaics of the Villa Romana del Tellaro, and will do an archeotrekking in Noto Antica with a tasting of local wines.

 

The South East of Sicily is extremely rich of unique natural environments. Pristine areas far from traditional tourist routes. Here in the past, man's action was perfectly integrated with the natural environment. The Vendicari nature reserve, at the south of Noto, is one of these areas, where there are 5 marshes that ensure the conditions of humidity and nutrients for a lot of birds spicies. From the 7th to 9th day

After breakfast departure for the unknown hinterland where we will visit: Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, the Sicani mountains, the cheese road, where many producers still follow the ancient art to produce cheese with unique flavors, the village of Cammarata with its infinite landscapes, Palazzo Adriano, Santa Margherita di Belice and the art of Burri in Gibellina!

Then the province of Trapani, with: the salt roads alternate with the wine route and endless fields of millennial olive trees, amazing beaches, reserves overlooking the sea, Erice. 3 Overnight stays between Agrigento and Trapani.

From the 10th to 12th day

After breakfast departure to the province of Palermo for 3 nights to discover millennia of history, religions, languages and different cultures. Palermo is the capital of Sicily, a caleidoscope of beauty made of christian churches in Arab architecture, multi-ethnic neighborhoods, folkloristic outdoor markets, palaces and Art Nouveau villas, elegant theaters and museums. We will spend the evenings in the trattorias along the promenade of Mondello village.

From the 13th to 15th day

The following days will be dedicated to the visit of the Province of Enna, for 3 nights. On the steps of ancient peoples, among archeo trekking in unknown areas such as: Morgantina, Cittadella, Canalotto, Calascibetta. Outdoor museums among flora and fauna, small exhibitions in historic buildings along the hidden roads of Sicily.

From the 16th to 20th day

We are almost to the end, but we still have a lot to discover: the elegant Taormina, Messina, the medieval towns of Randazzo and Montalbano Elicona, the Catania night life, the Sicilian street food.
